Growing up my family lived in a little town in Colombia, South America in the middle of the Andes Mountains.  In this town, the transportation ways were awful and dangerous.   Thus, we were so far from civilization and big cities and we needed to provide ourselves of food and clothes.  This is the reason that my mother started to learn to sew clothes for many families. She usually took us with her to these classes and I loved staying with her and enjoyed her creations. She occasionally sold some of the clothes to the town people.

Years later, I studied accounting and learned about business, but I always remembered my mother's hard work and how my mother inspired me to build my dream business. When I got engaged, I decided to quit my work and start my wedding business while we were planning our wedding.  Our business “Orquideas Dresses” was born on December 1, 2010, for the Latin America Market Weddings with success and we continue to learn every day.

2015 we moved to the US for work. My baby son was born and I needed to dedicate all my time to take care of him. Meanwhile, we are planning to start a new business specializing in children and moms.

Currently, in 2018, “Adelante Mujeres” (a Nonprofit organization located in Oregon) has inspired and empowered me to start our small business, follow our dreams, and pursue our goals.

This business is dedicated to my mother Leonor and my daughter Nela, my son Franccesco, and my dear husband, who are my inspiration everyday.
